This wine looks green! A lot of colour for 2 years of age. Nose - Lime cordial with citrus and talc on the nose. Taste - Lime cordial again and its doesn’t have the acidic backbone I expected. Still rather mineral and slatty underneath with that lime cordial on top. Its a nice riesling and … Continue reading Stage Door Wine Co. The Green Room Riesling 2019 Eden Valley
Three Elms Timbertops Riesling 2019
Nose - Passionfruit, banana paddlepop and lashings of lime with a citrus nose to it. Taste - I’m rather impressed with this. Good acidity levels but with a lot more of that passionfruit, melon gooseberry fruits on top of the Riesling lime taste we are used to. I think a fair comparison would be an … Continue reading Three Elms Timbertops Riesling 2019
Schild Estate GMS
Had with Pizza. Was a brilliant match. Nose - Blueberries, mushrooms, salami meats and some sour red fruits. Kinda smells like a large pinot noir! Taste - Lush and round, full of truffles, mushrooms, and dried red fruits with some blueberries. Its rather pleasant and a medium to full bodied wine.

Burgundy Night L. Tramier et Fils
Blanc first Not going to do a proper review because it wasn’t that good. Very sweet, couldn’t really tell it was chardonnay. Do not bother Rouge Nose - Caramel, ethereal notes, red berries and some vanilla 🤔 Taste - A lot more depth and shoulders than the Australian stuff. The earthy caramel notes really added … Continue reading Burgundy Night L. Tramier et Fils
Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Huge fan of Vasse Felix! The restaurant there was one if not the best dining experience I have had in Australia. A must when in Margaret River. Nose - Dark jammy fruits, cabernet leafy greens, dried juniper berries and that distinct nose that only comes from WA Cabernet. Taste - The red and blue fruit … Continue reading Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Bunnamagoo 1827 Hand Picked Shiraz 2016
Nose - Coffee and dark dark flavours. Chocolate and oak with plenty of dark cherries and German Black forrest cake. Taste - That dark coffee comes through at the start with that inky blackness I normally associate with larger Heathcote Shiraz wines. Its low in tannins and exceptionally smooth, and full of tobacco, coffee and … Continue reading Bunnamagoo 1827 Hand Picked Shiraz 2016
Brookland Valley Reserve Chardonnay Margaret River 2020
Nose - Text book WA Chardonnay. I touch on the lighter lemon side mixed in. Cashews and white stoned fruit running through. Taste - Its a lighter styled WA Chardonnay and its a superb example of that. Its fresh across the tongue, touches all the good spots and lasts for an age. Typical WA chardonnay … Continue reading Brookland Valley Reserve Chardonnay Margaret River 2020
